Review of the Behringer Ultratone K3000FX keyboard amplifier
The Behringer Ultratone K3000FX is a fantastic keyboard amp. Right out of the box it works like a charm. It has four inputs, which is really nice if you have to run a couple of things on it. One of these is an XLR too, so a microphone won’t be a problem. It also features an onboard graphic EQ, so you can set your sound frequencies right where you want them to be. And the effects are nice too. You can choose between hall/dorm sounds, delay, chorus/flanger, phaser/pitch, mod+rev, or mod+delay. There are 99 effects choices all in all, which really helps to make this amp not only a good keyboard amp, but a good practice amp through and through.
All four inputs feature their own FX level knobs and levels, as well as their own direct ins and out. This makes it easy to organize your sounds while getting the levels where you want them. The knobs are sturdy, though not so sturdy I would want to bang them against something. You should, of course, exercise some caution with this one, as they may break easily if you were to set something heavy on the knobs.
This amp features two very nice carrying handles on the sides, as well as a very nice handle on the top. This makes it easy for one or two people to carry the amp. The two handles on the sides are especially nice, because these make it really easy for just two people to grab onto the amp and load/unload it. And with an amp that is as heavy as this one, that is a nice feature.
The screen on the front of this amp is pretty sturdy, but not sturdy enough that you would want to set things on top of it, or have the amp lean up against something by the face. The proper way to haul this amp is right side up, with the back to the wall/side of trailer.
The Behringer Ultratone K3000FX keyboard amp is a good choice for anyone who is looking for a very high quality amp as a great price. Since this amp has 300 watts, it has enough power to play good-sized gigs, but it still gives you the portability and versatility of a good practice amp. So if you want a good amp at a good price, this one may just be for you.
